TEHRAN -- Ahmad Mir-Alaii, director of the Farabi Cinematic Foundation (FCF), gave his comment on “Certified Copy”, Abbas Kiarostami’s latest movie competing at the Cannes Film Festival.

“Certified Copy”, the latest production by Kiarostami, is among the 16 main titles competing at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
“Since I have not yet seen the movie, I cannot give my exact opinion about the film, however Kiarostami is an Iranian filmmaker who has gained worldwide fame,” Mir-Alaii said.
He added, “If his movie is among those productions which would make us feel proud, then we would definitely say we are delighted for its international participation,” FCF reported on Saturday.
“Kiarostami made ‘Certified Copy’ outside Iran and I hope his work would reflect a positive image of the country,” he added.
As the movie’s plot says; in Italy to promote his latest book, a middle-aged English writer meets a young French woman and jets off to San Gimignano with her.
